Siwan News Mairwa railway station is being rejuvenated. Under the Amrut Station Yojana, several works are being done to enhance passenger amenities. Lift on platform, standard lighting, VDC platform surfacing, extension of station building, construction of porch, passenger waiting room, toilet, pedestrian overbridge etc. are being constructed.

The work of making the foundation for the lift on platform one and platform two has been completed. At the same time, improvement work with standard lighting is in progress in the station building and circulating area.

The work of VDC platform surfacing has also been completed in 6000 square meters. Many works are to be done including expansion of station building, construction and beautification of porch, construction of passenger waiting room, construction of toilet, construction of 3.6 meter wide foot over bridge. LED displays have been installed on the station building. Water supply has also started after the water tank is ready.
Amrit Bharat Railway Station Yojana includes improvement of circulating area, approach road and platform surface, equipping waiting hall and departure centre with modern facilities. Arrangements have been made to provide information to passengers about arrival and departure of trains, train coach stoppage through digital display.
A big display has been installed outside the railway station to give information about the status of the train, but it has not been started. The shed on the platform has been extended. Special lighting is to be arranged on the entire platform. At present, the lighting system has improved as compared to earlier. Reservation ticket booking room, passenger waiting room, disabled toilet are to be built. It is being told that the scheme is to provide relief to railway passengers.
