Maruti Suzuki may bring a new mini MPV based on the Japan-spec Spacia. There are reports that it will be a sub-4 meter MPV, which is likely to come with the brand's new Z-series petrol engine. This is the motor that powers the Swift hatchback. However, the gasoline unit could also be offered with Maruti Suzuki's own strong hybrid system, which is currently under development. Nissan India is planning to expand its portfolio with a new entry-level MPV. It will be based on the Renault Triber. The model is likely to share some design elements with the Magnite sub-compact SUV, yet it will look different from its donor sibling. Under the hood, the new Nissan compact MPV could be powered by a 1.0L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that is claimed to produce a maximum of 71bhp and 96Nm of torque. Kia India is planning to launch affordable electric vehicles (EVs) in the Indian market. This may include Carens EV and Cyros EV. Both models are expected to hit the roads in the second half of 2025. With these mass-market EVs, the company hopes to achieve combined sales of 50,000 - 60,000 units by 2026. The price of the upcoming Kia Carens EV (codenamed KY-EV) is also expected to be low.
